Alumni Program

How it Works

Life-long Alumnihood
LIT members enter into "Alumnihood" after completing the 4-year high school program and the 4-year Postsecondary program. Members will be part of their "cohort" forever with the goal of collectively and individually ending systemic racism and structural inequity in their home community by becoming leaders of their community. LIT is a long-term leadership pipeline program to ensure human capital from the most underrepresented groups thrive in leadership roles and in positions of power and privilege with the unrelenting goal of empowering the community.
LIT's Alumni program is differentiated and responsive to Alumni needs and interests. However, all Alumni members donate back to LIT in the form of Alumni dues, receive monthly newsletters and complete an annual survey. Alumni members are also invited to the following:
  • Serve on the LIT Alumni Advisory Committee
  • Quarterly networking events
  • Community volunteering events
  • Career assistance and leadership development support
